Reflections from the participants
Raaga Sirani:
It was very difficult because I am a little out of shape but in the end it was worth it! It was a very rewarding run and the weather was just perfect: not too hot, not too cold. I am glad I could do my part in spreading awareness about childhood cancer.
Caity Eng:
I had a very fun time biking. My mom likes biking too, so we did it together!
Heeral Gopaldasani:
Aid2Day’s miles for lives event helped me feel a sense of accomplishment! I usually walk 6,000 steps daily and this month I actually walked for a cause which is so close to my heart which makes me feel very happy!
Allegra Califano:
I enjoyed the run!
Eva Califano:
This run was a great way to raise awareness for childhood cancer. It also made me extremely active! Thank You.
Reflection from the event coordinators
Savitha Sithartha:
I think the Miles for Lives event was our most successful so far. We nearly got the number of participants we had hoped for (just one less), and the feedback we received was very positive. Our member advertisements were definitely the most successful, and it looks like our Instagram page and its influence is growing very quickly.
Eva Califano:
The Miles for Lives event could not have gone better! I am extremely impressed by the outcome of this event, and by the participants who contributed their all to completing their goals. From the end of event form we gained a copious amount of positive feedback and a significant amount of support and awareness for childhood cancer. This goes to show that the Miles for Live event has truly helped people walk for a cause. Let's keep up the great work!
